Quality Engineer

Ontic's Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. Our team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join them. You will report to the Quality Engineer Lead and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA. To be considered for the Quality Engineer opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) or 7 years of relevant aerospace quality engineering experience Extensive expertise in aerospace products and processes Strong background in regulatory administration and quality engineering principles AS9102 First Article Inspection. DISCUS/Net Inspect Root Cause and Corrective Action Investigation As a Quality Engineer, you will: Apply strategic and critical thinking to Quality Management Systems and product quality. Review customer contracts and purchase orders for quality requirements. Communicate quality program requirements internally and externally. Develop and implement quality procedures and metrics. Collaborate with production and engineering to identify risks and implement proactive quality improvement strategies. Conduct audits to assess technical capabilities and recommend improvements. Manage nonconformance and corrective action processes. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Offer technical assistance and training to inspection personnel.
