Schedule patient appointments for medical consultations, procedures, and follow-ups. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure accurate and timely scheduling. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and medical history before booking appointments. Maintain and update an organized calendar, adjusting for cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules. Confirm appointments through phone, email, or text, providing patients with necessary visit instructions. Keep all patient records updated and complete in the scheduling system. Collaborate with medical professionals to prepare for patient visits and procedures. Answer patient inquiries with professionalism and provide clear information about office hours, availability, and more. Process insurance verifications and referrals when required. Support front desk operations and help manage patient flow to minimize wait times. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in a medical office or scheduling role preferred. Strong communication skills (bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus). Proficient in using scheduling software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
