Navigator Position At Chart House
A Navigator is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests' first impression of the restaurant is a positive one. Responsibilities include greeting guests in a professional, pleasant and helpful manner and directing them to their seats promptly and presenting them with menus. Responding to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner, maintaining knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests, handling guest complaints or issues professionally or bringing them to the manager when necessary, taking to-go orders over the phone and in person, responsible for a point-of-sale register and accepting credit cards, cash, comps or in payment of food and beverage charges, engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service, refilling drinks and clearing plates as needed during guest's dining experience, monitoring restaurant activity to determine seating/dining flow, performing opening and closing duties as directed by supervisor or manager, exhibiting conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures, consistently delivering positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service, and performing any other duties as assigned. Qualifications include training in food preparation, previous experience in a similar environment, and availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
