Aquatics Director
Aquatics director is responsible for all day-to-day pool operations, the overall planning, development, management and supervision of all aquatic programs of the site. Responsibilities: Ensure safety in and around the pool area. Report to upper management and coordinate all programming, facility management between all site staff. Manage all aquatic staff and program schedules. Document all necessary reports including incident reports. Enforce compliance with all safety regulations among staff and patrons. Schedule lessons, programs and events for the swim/day camp program. Train and supervise aquatics staff, including lifeguards and maintenance. Will oversee the entire operation during the weekdays and report to management. Adhere to all health protocols. Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Certified in CPR, AED, First Aide Valid WSI and lifeguard certification from a recognized organization Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy, physical education or related field. Knows and performs proper emergency procedures 3+ years related experience as an aquatics director or supervisor Completion of aquatics training certifications or equivalent: American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or equivalent American Red Cross Instructor American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer Certified Pool Operator Qualifications: Previous experience as a aquatics camp director, lifeguard or swim instructor Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to positively interact with fellow staff, students, and customers.
