Reports to: Production Supervisor and/or Superintendent Job Summary:

To successfully perform the duties of this role, the individual must demonstrate proficiency in each of the essential functions mentioned. Adaptability, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and effective communication are key to success in this role. Roles and Responsibilities

Assist Line Lead and Machine Operators:

Support the line lead and machine operators in the efficient production of corrugated paper products, ensuring smooth workflow and minimizing downtime. Conduct Product Quality Inspections:

Perform regular quality checks on finished and in-process products to ensure they meet company and industry standards. Report any discrepancies or defects to the line lead or quality control manager immediately. Promote and Maintain Safety Standards:

Follow and advocate for the facility's safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Identify potential hazards and report them to the appropriate personnel. Perform Varied Departmental Tasks:

Complete a range of duties within the assigned department, including but not limited to machine set-up, feeding and product handling, material movement and cleaning. Be flexible to rotate between tasks as needed. Meet Production Goals:

Help achieve daily production goals by staying on task, maintaining product quality, and following established operational procedures. Communicate Effectively with Team Members:

Maintain open lines of communication with team members, including machine operators, line leads, and supervisors, to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and any issues are resolved quickly. Adherence to Operational Standards:

Ensure all work is performed according to company policies, industry regulations, and quality expectations. Perform Other Duties as Assigned:

Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the department or facility. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Preferred candidates will have: Previous experience in the corrugated paper industry. At least 6 months of experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper. 6 months of experience in the Press and Finishing Departments. Language Skills:

Must be able to read and follow written instructions accurately. Mathematical Skills: Ability to quickly and accurately use a tape measure. Capable of performing basic calculations such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rates. Must have a good understanding of high school-level math. Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to follow written, verbal, or visual instructions. Able to solve problems involving straightforward situations and apply common sense to daily tasks. Technical Skills: A basic understanding of the following is required: How equipment is designed and how it operates efficiently. Product layouts and production specifications. Quality standards and product specifications. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

May need to maintain a valid Lift Truck Operator License, if required. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, bend, and listen. Frequent use of hands to handle materials, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Frequent exposure to wet or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
