Medical School Laboratory Position Summary: The Perelman School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Anatomist to join our dynamic preclinical education team. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of functional human anatomy with a focus on structural relationships, physiological function, and clinical relevance. This individual will play an essential role in facilitating cadaver-based dissection labs, preparing high-quality prosections, and supporting the assessment of student learning. Key Responsibilities: Teach the structure, function, and clinical application of human anatomy to medical students, with an emphasis on functional and systems-based integration. Facilitate student learning in cadaver dissection laboratories, including supervision, instruction, and feedback. Perform high-quality prosections on donor cadavers to support lab-based education and demonstration. Collaborate with faculty to design, implement, and administer formative and summative assessments, including practical examinations. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement in anatomical sciences education. Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development, and academic service as appropriate. Maintain compliance with institutional, legal, and ethical standards for the handling of human donor material. Required Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in anatomy, biological sciences, or a related field. Candidates with clinical degrees (e.g., MD, DO) and demonstrated teaching experience are also encouraged to apply. Experience teaching anatomy in a cadaver-based laboratory setting at the undergraduate or graduate level. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed cadaveric dissections and prosections. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaboration and student-centered learning. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in clinical integration of anatomy and multidisciplinary teaching. Familiarity with modern educational technologies, such as virtual anatomy platforms and imaging modalities. Prior involvement in curriculum design or academic assessment in medical education. Work Environment: This position is primarily based in a gross anatomy laboratory and associated teaching facilities. Some evening or weekend work may be required during assessment periods or special educational sessions.
