Position Summary: The Resident Service Designee supports the Director in managing nursing services, coordinating care, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining quality. Oversees medication delivery, staff training, and contributes to residents' physical, emotional, and social needs to promote independence and quality care. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring clinical services are provided in accordance with state regulations, accepted clinical standards, agency policy and standards. Assist in the coordination and management of nursing and personal care attendant services provided to residents. Provides nursing services to residents including resident teaching, wellness counseling, health promotion, disease prevention, and provision of care and services to residents whose conditions are chronic and stable. Verifying residents' medication regimen with physicians or health care practitioners for residents who require supervision. Assist residents with activities of daily living. Aware and knowledgeable of the federal and state laws and regulations regarding assisted living/memory care and the regulations of the state's nursing commission; ensures and maintains regulatory compliance with all such regulations. Assisting in the coordination and management of care and services for residents through the move in process, assessment and service plan, and service plan review process. Staff Training, Education and Supervision: Coordinates and participates in initial job specific orientation and training, conducts continuing training and education, reviews documentation and communication of Resident Care Services associates, supervises assigned personnel. Proper, Accurate Documentation and Delegation: Provides delegation, available after-hours for issues related to current residents' needs. Infection Control: Maintains compliance with Community policies on Immunizations, Infection Control and Infectious Disease Management. Move Out/Discontinuation of Services: Assists residents who no longer require services. Quality Assurance: Completes routine auditing of all Resident Care systems, assists the Resident Service Director in monthly Resident Care Service staffing schedule. Participates in other Resident Care Services and Community related duties, as assigned by the Executive Director. Compliance & Safety: Follows emergency procedures, understands the safety practices and procedures. Communication: Communicates effectively with supervisor and other staff. Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification: Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state. Experience in Assisted Living, Home Health, Skilled Nursing and/or retirement center. Experience and passion in working with seniors. Experience in supervisory role and able to lead. Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 60lbs. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members. In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
