With Honor is a cross-partisan non-profit whose mission is to strengthen democracy by fighting polarization in the U.S. Congress with principled veteran leadership. With Honor Action works alongside the bipartisan For Country Caucus of 37 veterans in the U.S. House and with a group of 11 bipartisan Senators who are committed to the With Honor pledge. With Honor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Development Consultant to advance fundraising initiatives. Based in Washington, DC, this position will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support With Honor's mission. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, exceptional relationship-building skills, and strong attraction to our mission. The position requires the ability to attend evening functions in DC and occasional work from our office location in DC. Key Responsibilities Conduct research to identify potential donor bases, funding sources, and opportunities for grants or contributions Develop and implement tailored fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's goals, mission, and resources Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, sponsors, and stakeholders through personalized engagement and consistent communication Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events as well as other donor engagement activities Analyze fundraising data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions for future efforts Collaborate with the CEO & Executive Team to create compelling fundraising materials and promote fundraising initiatives Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership on fundraising program data and overall progress Ensure all fundraising activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing PACs and political fundraising Monitor and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to the CEO and Executive Team Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in fundraising, with a strong preference for experience in PAC fundraising or political campaign fundraising Proven ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages to engage donors and supporters Familiarity with the political environment, campaign finance laws, and regulations related to PACs Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines A passion for With Honor's mission and a commitment to promoting principled veteran leadership in public office Bachelor's degree or higher Established network within the political and donor communities in Washington, DC Proficiency within donor management software Terms: Contract position Compensation will be made through a monthly retainer fee and is commensurate with experience Washington, DC-based
