The CMO will be a dynamic and transformational leader, responsible for advancing clinical excellence, quality, patient safety, and physician engagement in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in bridging system-wide strategy with local implementation and is accountable for a range of areas including quality outcomes, credentialing, provider professionalism, and the growth of key clinical programs. The CMO will also support institutional performance on various reputational metrics and, where applicable, local clinical research activities, graduate medical education, and employee health. The ideal candidate for the CMO position at the company's subsidiary hospital(s) will have a strong background in clinical leadership and a proven track record in the healthcare industry. Key responsibilities include leading efforts in performance improvement, supporting value-based care initiatives, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The CMO will work closely with the Chief of Staff and medical staff leaders on hospital bylaws, peer review, and care efficiency. Collaboration is essential, as the CMO will represent the subsidiary on the Senior Clinical Leadership Council and work with various teams across the system. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage and mentor a large team, and who is dedicated to the mission of providing quality, evidence-based patient care.
