Treatment Episode Dataset Specialist (TEDS)

Job Title
Primary responsibility will be verifying the accuracy and completion of a TEDS assessment for all required clients of New Directions and Wills Place at the appropriate intervals. They will work with the clinical team to ensure timely completion and submission of the TEDS record. They will access the TEDS submission system and submit TEDS records to the Department of Mental Health online application and work through any inconsistencies identified in the TEDS reporting tools. Provides world-class service to providers, clients, and coworkers. Performs and assists other staff members as assigned. They provide services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. They demonstrate a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. They will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Education
High school graduate or GED. Preferred Qualifications
Prefer medical records experience. Responsibilities
Verifies a TEDS is completed in a timely manner, as required, based on the guidelines published by the Department of Mental Health. Communicate with the providers when a TEDS assessment has not been completed or requires updates to meet the requirements. Responsible for uploading the TEDS file from Ozark Center's EMR into the DMH TEDS online application system or manually entering them when needed, confirming file receipt, correcting errors, and re-processing the submission. Utilize the reports from the TEDS system to identify clients that may need updates or TEDS completed or need to be deleted from the TEDS system. Identify and share process improvement ideas with Team Leader. Assist Medical records with records related duties if needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements
TB test upon hire Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as needed. Sufficient sensory-motor dexterity to complete motor skill tasks, including vision, hearing, and speech. Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping. Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
