This position plays a key role in supporting both laboratory operations and team leadership within a technical environment. The role involves overseeing daily lab activities, ensuring compliance and quality standards, and guiding team members to meet performance goals. It requires a balance of hands-on technical work and strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Laboratory Responsibilities include managing and coordinating the training program for laboratory staff, conducting laboratory investigations and preparing reports, performing environmental monitoring and collecting samples, coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration schedules, reviewing and verifying laboratory data through peer review, utilizing the Laboratory Information Management System for tracking samples, test results, and reporting metrics, maintaining the microbiological productivity database and generating monthly metrics reports, conducting acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media, and performing microbial identification procedures when required. Leadership Responsibilities include leading direct reports, group leaders, and their teams in technical environments, promoting and embodying the company's vision and values, overseeing scheduling, task allocation, and the onboarding process, managing overtime and weekend work schedules, developing and implementing team-building strategies, applying Lean principles to drive operational excellence, supervising daily operations of the Quality Control analyst team, coaching, mentoring, and supporting group leaders, assisting in the professional development of group leaders, and coordinating and participating in interviews for new hires. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience leading dynamic teams in a technical or laboratory setting. At least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience; GMP environment preferred. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Additional Information

Additional details include this is a full-time, onsite position based on a second shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 2 pm- 10:30 pm) with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed.
