The Northwest Recreation Center is looking for temporary staff to fill various roles. All positions include paid training, and the most important skill is a willingness to learn. Positions available include: Front Desk

Contact: Marianna Sine, msine@saltlakecounty.gov, (385) 468-1305 Location: Northwest Recreation Center (1255 West 300 North) Responsibilities: Working with the Program Coordinator to ensure smooth program operations, running practices for the Rookie League, refereeing games, scorekeeping, and assisting with setup and takedown of programming equipment. Mostly on Saturdays with potential mid-week hours for training or event assistance. Activities: Youth Soccer, Jr. Jazz Rookie League, Hiking, Archery Childcare: Teachers and Bus Drivers

Swim Instructors: Must be 16+, pass a swim screening test, work with children ages 3-14, and provide a safe learning environment. Swim Lessons: Taught year-round, classes may be on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings, or weekday mornings during the summer. All selected applicants must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. Temporary positions are "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employees who are not eligible for County benefits and must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
