Overview
This position is responsible for monthly journal entries and analysis which also includes the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements and related disclosures, including monthly internal reporting. Typically requires bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 1+ years of related experience. CPA or eligible preferred. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements and related disclosures Assist with preparation of internal reporting and analysis Prepares workpapers supporting SEC filings and ensures compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines Completes monthly journal entries and reconciliations and related controls Confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements Participates in ad hoc projects to create efficiencies and accuracy in financial reporting, which may include report writing and other analysis Assists other departments in the company with financial reporting queries and other reporting needs Qualifications
Bachelor's degree accounting or finance 1+ years' related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team handling multiple tasks Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills ERP and report writing experience a plus. Why work for Ferrellgas?
