Description

Seeking a caring, conscientious advocate who will assist families in their childrens development and their familys well-being. This individual will possess a Bachelors degree in Social Work or related. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. The Child Welfare Specialist will carefully make assessments as it pertains to each familys needs and provide comprehensive case management services to DCFS-involved families. This position offers an annually pay of $50,400, as well as medical, vision, dental, paid time off, 401K, and other voluntary benefits. Position Highlights Conducts weekly or twice a month home visits to families, developing a positive relationship with family members and ensuring the well-being and safety of the children at all times. In consultation with an assigned supervisor, refers participants, both children and caregivers, to appropriate social service agencies and community organizations in order to adequately address participants service needs. Demonstrates thorough understanding of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) Rules and Procedures, Part 302.388 Intact Family Services and Family First Prevention Services Act (H.R. 5456 (Family First). Maintains regular contact with other community and service partners and provides advocacy when needed, to support participants service goals. Maintains monthly caseload statistics and other relevant data as required by agency and program policies. Works on other Adhoc projects as assigned by Intact Family Supervisor.
