The Health Educator is responsible for providing health education and counseling to HIV/AIDS clients. The Health Educator must be capable of comprehending complex public health issues and have the ability to articulate recommended prevention strategies. Must have qualifications include a Masters Degree in social work, public health, health administration, or related field; and three to five years of administrative and supervisory experience operating Scatter Site Housing Program(s); or a Bachelors Degree in social work, public health, health administration, or related field; and five to seven years of administrative and supervisory experience operating Scatter Site Housing Program(s). Five or more years experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons afflicted with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and serious mental illness. Bilingual-Spanish preferred. HIV/AIDS advanced training is a plus. Compensation: Include Hourly Rate or Salary/Bonus Info - This is mandatory in certain locations such as NYC.
