Responsibilities

This position is responsible for controlling movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects. Responsibilities include: Discussing traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior. Distributing traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern. Directing movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals. Warning construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers. Informing drivers of detour routes through construction sites. Recording license number of traffic control violators for police. Assisting paving/milling crews with general labor as needed. Hourly Range: $20.00 - $21.00, based on experience. Experience & Education/Certificate: 1-2 years of experience on construction sites or flagging operations. GED/high school diploma or related work experience. Valid driver's license required. ATSSA Flagger certification Required Skills & Knowledge: Must be able to work well independently or within a team. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
