This person is responsible for planning, costing, coordinating, evaluating, implementing, documenting, supporting, and maintaining the Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone communication systems, as well as management of Marketing attribution and call routing/tracking Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms for Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare and its subsidiaries. In addition, the Telecoms Manager serves as the technical liaison between subsidiary company stakeholders, service providers, IT and telecommunications contractors, and the internal IT team. Essential Responsibilities: Telecommunication Technology Support

General:

Responds to telecom-related service tickets and escalations from IT support or facility staff. Coordinates with external vendors for installations, changes, or troubleshooting, as directed. Participates in telecom projects for new site launches, expansions, or acquisitions. Continuously builds knowledge of telecom platforms and best practices through training and hands-on experience.

Phones Systems Support

(e.g., Yealink, Polycom, Grandstream): Desk phones Cordless phones (DECT or Wi-Fi-enabled) Softphones (software-based phones) Mobile VoIP apps ATA/POTS lines Faxing Solutions:

Assists with the setup and support of electronic (eFax) and legacy fax systems.

Chatbots:

Supports the integration and functionality of automated chat tools.

SMS/Text Messaging:

Helps configure and maintain SMS platforms.

Marketing Phone Numbers:

Assists in managing telecoms systems that track numbers used for marketing campaigns and web attribution.

Language Interpretation Services:

Provides basic support and coordination for language access services.

Telecom Routing Support & Learning: Admissions Contact Center Routing (CCaaS):

Assists in setup, maintenance, and testing call flow changes. Learns to interpret call routing logic and performance data. Facility-Specific Phone Setups and routing (UCaaS):

Helps troubleshoot routing issues at individual facilities. Participates in discussions and new projects related to phone system design and updates. Additional Responsibilities: Provides support to the IT Project Manager and Network Engineer with IT infrastructure projects, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Performs occasional field deliverable activities, including travel to facilities within our region for technology troubleshooting, repair, and small structured cabling projects when local or remote third-party vendors are unable to. Provides limited local IT support for the corporate office and is the escalation contact for staff. Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions that will improve current business processes. Additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications

What we are seeking/Education and Experience: Associate's degree, IT Certifications, or equivalent technical experience in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field and two years of experience in IT or telecom support required. Other Requirements: Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and an acceptable driving record for the last five years. Skill Competencies: Demonstrates a basic understanding of call routing, telecom hardware, and related infrastructure. Demonstrates a foundational networking knowledge, including: IP addressing and subnetting, DNS and DHCP functionality, basic network diagnostics (e.g., ping, traceroute), understanding of how network configuration impacts VoIP systems. Demonstrates a willingness to learn and support advanced telecom strategy and architecture. Demonstrates project management skills. Demonstrates familiarity with HIPAA and cybersecurity best practices. Demonstrates the ability to break down technical terms/processes in simple language that non-technical people can understand. Demonstrates excellent organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrates a customer-focused mindset. Demonstrates a high level of initiative and follow-through.
