Barnard College seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Associate to support the College's website operations and digital communications strategy. This role plays a key part in maintaining content and structure for the Barnard website and supporting digital needs across platforms. The Digital Associate will help manage day-to-day content updates, ensure adherence to brand and accessibility standards, and assist with digital projects that advance the College's priorities. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with excellent editorial judgment, strong technical instincts, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update content on the Barnard website using the content management system (CMS) Review, format, and publish approved content submitted by department administrators Ensure that all updates meet brand, style, and accessibility standards Support with content clean-up, and ongoing improvements to site structure to streamline current digital assets Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate as needed Help document best practices and provide light training or guidance to departments submitting content Collaborate across the entire communications team to ensure consistency across digital platforms Assist with digital communications tasks, including social media as needed Skills, Qualifications & Requirements: 25 years of experience in digital communications, content management, or related field Experience working in a content management system Familiarity with web accessibility standards and SEO basics Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits Ability to manage multiple requests, timelines, and stakeholders Familiarity with vendor management Ability to work flexible hours; must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required. This job is currently a hybrid position, but may require a presence in the office up to five times a week, including for team and full staff meetings and other times as directed by the supervisor. Salary Range: $64,350 - $66,500 annually The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
