Andersen Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering team that supports our 100 Series Manufacturing Facility. This role will focus on supporting value-stream initiatives improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Candidates for this position should have a passion to improve both our production and functional processes in a hands-on collaborative role. Primary Responsibilities: Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to problem solve and implement solutions Drive continuous improvement, improved customer satisfaction, reduced waste, increased efficiency, and elimination of variation in processes. Lead and manage improvement projects following A3 methodology Develop/fabricate prototype fixtures, carts, and specialized tools Create and modify process documentation such as standard work, lock out tag out procedures, machine safeguarding inventories, etc. Execution of test plans and associated data collection Able to solve problems with practical solutions MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience Strong ability to find and utilize data for driving improvements Proven cross functional collaboration Strong aptitude in analysis and problem solving Ability to communicate both written and verbally within the organization and externally to suppliers and customers General use of computers and basic software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Dependability/punctuality NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: High mechanical aptitude Knowledge of window products Demonstrated understanding of quality programs and initiatives, SPC and process capability, along with lean manufacturing principles.
