The Estimator's Responsibilities Include: Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for bid preparation. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope. Research and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing. Present cost estimates to stakeholders and address any inquiries or adjustments as needed. Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Stay informed about industry standards and best practices to ensure accurate and efficient estimating processes.
