Locum Infectious Disease Physician - San Francisco Bay Area Outpatient HIV-Focused Care No Call 13-26 Week Contracts Immediate Start
Join a mission-driven outpatient clinic in the San Francisco Bay Area, providing expert care in infectious diseases with a focus on HIV prevention, treatment, and chronic disease management. This full-time locum opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule, no call, and a rewarding patient population.
Assignment Highlights:
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 13 to 26 weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5x8s
Options: 8am-5pm or 10am-7pm
No call
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Census: Avg. 18 patients/day (21+ preferred)
Clinical Scope Includes:
HIV diagnosis, treatment initiation, and long-term management
Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) management and adherence monitoring
Prevention/treatment of opportunistic infections (e.g., TB, CMV, candidiasis)
Management of comorbidities (e.g., Hep B/C, diabetes, CVD, mental health)
PrEP & PEP education and prescribing
Adult-only patient population
EMR: EPIC
Ideal Candidate:
MD with Board Certification (preferred) or Board Eligibility in Infectious Diseases
Minimum 2 years' relevant clinical experience
Active California medical license
BLS and DEA required
Able to credential within 30 days
