Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager Livestock Specialist to drive sales growth and expand awareness of Britespan s livestock-focused building solutions, with a special emphasis on our Epic Building Series for dairy and beef cattle. Based out of our Mosinee, WI office , this role will focus on developing a strong market presence across assigned U.S. regions, fostering dealer partnerships, and directly engaging with high-value customers. Remote work arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates, with regular visits to our Wisconsin office.

This position offers a competitive compensation package, including commissions and performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Dealer Support

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to expand Britespan s footprint in the livestock sector.
  • Support dealers through every step of the sales process consulting on building designs, lead conversion strategies, and assisting with large-scale projects.
  • Identify and cultivate underdeveloped dealer territories, driving dealer expansion and capability within the agricultural market.
  • Provide product training and fiscal advantage education to dealers to ensure alignment with Britespan s value proposition.

Market Development & Growth

  • Analyze regional market share, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with corporate teams on forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Attend key trade shows, tours, and industry conferences to build brand presence and generate leads.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers, influencers, and industry partners using CRM tools.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Lead sales cycles for high-value opportunities, from initial contact through contract finalization.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with dairy and beef producers, consultants, and agricultural influencers.
  • Strategically leverage existing client relationships to drive referrals and repeat business.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge, including competitor analysis.
  • Ensure CRM accuracy and compliance with internal sales processes.
  • Obtain OSHA-10 Certification and adhere to safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless execution of projects, quotes, and customer communications.

Qualifications:

Education & Industry Expertise

  • College degree in Livestock Management, Animal Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Deep knowledge of dairy and beef cattle operations, including husbandry and nutrition.

Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of sales experience , with a strong focus on agricultural sales, consulting, or livestock industry services.
  • Proven track record of direct sales success in agriculture.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional time management and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
