Hospitalist Physician Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Center in southern Alabama is seeking Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care experience to join our robust, rapidly growing Hospitalist team. Competitive Compensation with comprehensive benefits package and $15k sign on bonus included. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year Acute Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner. The current practice includes 30 Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Average daily census is 15-20 patients per physician provider and 8-10 patients per provider at night. Practice Highlights:

• Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults
• Admit and co-manage with Intensivist support adult patients in critical care
• 24/7 Pulm/Critical Care support for all CC admissions
• Manage patients in Clinical Decision Unit
• 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of an in-house Radiology physician 24/7
• 12-hour work shifts, 7p-7a
• No call required
• 7 on/7 off rotation

Robust IM Hospitalist program provides ED unassigned coverage, care for transfers, and inpatient consults.
