nJOB OVERVIEW
nWe are seeking a dependable and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in cooking high-quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow their culinary skills. As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for prepping ingredients, cooking menu items to spec, and maintaining a clean and efficient workstation throughout service.
nKey Responsibilities:
nSet up and stock your station with all necessary supplies before service
nPrepare ingredients as directed (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, making sauces)
nCook and plate dishes according to chef specifications and restaurant standards
nWork in coordination with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
nMaintain cleanliness and organization of your station during and after shifts
nProperly handle and store leftover food
nFollow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
nEnsure all food is prepared in a timely manner, with attention to quality and consistency
nCommunicate any issues (e.g., equipment malfunctions or ingredient shortages) to the Sous or Executive Chef
nSkills & Qualifications:
nPrevious kitchen experience (line cook, prep cook, or similar role) preferred
nSolid understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
nAbility to follow recipes and directions accurately
nStrong work ethic and reliability
nComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
nAttention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety
nTeam-oriented attitude and good communication skills
nFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
