Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership : Lead the development of comprehensive MEP systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory codes.
n
• Technical Oversight : Conduct detailed load calculations, system layouts, and distribution analyses. Ensure precise, timely delivery of MEP design packages, including plans, specifications, and construction documents.
n
• Quality Assurance : Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to confirm alignment with design intent and regulatory standards.
n
• Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
n
• Client Collaboration : Actively engage in project meetings with architects, contractors, and clients, effectively communicating technical information to ensure project goals are met.
n
• Interdisciplinary Coordination : Work closely with project teams, architects, and structural engineers to align MEP systems with overall building designs and resolve any conflicts.
n
• On-site Oversight : Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address technical issues, and enforce quality control measures.
n
• Innovation : Stay current on MEP industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background : Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution .
n
• Experience : Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, with a strong track record of leading complex projects from concept to completion.
n
• Project Experience: Mixed-Use + Retail, mid-large scale projects
n
• Licensure : PE license
n
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in EngergyPro, Revit, AutoCAD, and design engineering software.
n
• Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth understanding of California building codes and standards relevant to MEP systems.
n
• Leadership Abilities : Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire junior team members.
n
• Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
n
• Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and engage clients.
