Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service Specialist, where your role is vital to the success of our retail operations. In this position, you will work closely with both wholesale and retail customers, helping them to identify their needs and providing expert guidance on Sherwin-Williams products. Your goal is to ensure maximum client satisfaction by addressing any customer concerns promptly and effectively while staying informed about the latest product features.

We expect you to help achieve outstanding customer service and consistently meet the store's sales goals.

The successful candidate will work at Store #3308, located at 128 Branch Rd SE, Vienna, VA 22180, and may occasionally assist in surrounding stores within a 5-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through exemplary sales service.
  • Assist customers both in-person and over the phone, ensuring their needs are met with appropriate products and services.
  • Build productive trust relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in line with company policies.
  • Meet and strive to exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain organized work order files and formulas.
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tint and mix products according to customer specifications.
  • Stock shelves and create eye-catching displays.
  • Clean store equipment regularly to maintain a safe and appealing environment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, and help with customer deliveries as necessary.
  • Keep assigned areas well-stocked and presentable at all times.
  • Stay knowledgeable about our products to effectively discuss options with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures and recommend improvements for sales.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Capable of physically retrieving materials from shelves and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have received a 'meets expectations' (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal.
  • If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service positions.
  • Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages, including Spanish.
