Job Title: Server – New Cocktail Bar in Williamsburg

Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Position Type: Full-Time (4–5 shifts/week) or Part-Time (2–3 shifts/week)

About Us:

We’re opening a small, design-forward bar and restaurant on a rapidly changing corner of Williamsburg, with a focus on great hospitality, craft cocktails, and seasonal food. Our goal is to bring a fresh perspective to the neighborhood with thoughtful drinks, intentional service, and a space that feels both easy to love and quietly refined. We believe great bars are built by great teams, and we’re looking for servers who want to help shape something from the ground up.

Our service philosophy is easy and natural on the surface, grounded in care, attention to detail, and warmth. We’re looking for experienced, thoughtful servers who love creating great guest experiences and know how to flow with a team.

About the Role:

Servers at our bar will be cross-trained across various front-of-house roles, including food running, hosting, and light bar support, with opportunities to deepen their knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and pairings. This is a great opportunity for someone who values hospitality as a craft, takes initiative, and thrives in a collaborative, design-driven setting.

Expectations:

  • A warm, professional presence and guest-first mentality
  • Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and pride in service
  • Clear communication and comfort working across roles
  • Punctuality, organization, and a proactive approach to each shift
  • Desire to contribute to a respectful, high-functioning team culture

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years serving in a restaurant or bar (ideally in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting)
  • Strong working knowledge of food, beverage, and service mechanics
  • Interest in cocktails, wine, and seasonal cuisine
  • Ability to multitask gracefully under pressure
  • Must be over 21 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Evening and weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thoughtful, attentive table service with personality and professionalism
  • Anticipate guest needs and communicate fluidly with the team
  • Stay organized, efficient, and engaged during service
  • Support setup, breakdown, and ongoing cleanliness of the space
  • Work closely with bar and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow
  • Set and maintain a rhythm of service

Compensation:

  • Hourly (NYC minimum to start) + tips
  • Dining discounts, with potential for growth and cross-training into bar roles as the team evolves

To Apply:

Please send a resume and a short note about why this opportunity excites you. We’re looking for thoughtful, grounded professionals who are ready to help build something intentional and enduring.
