Why you'll love this job In this highly visible role on the Operations Talent Acquisition team, you’ll ensure American Airlines Airport and Reservations roles are staffed for operational readiness. You’ll develop and execute strategic staffing plans, and travel to hiring events at domestic and international airports, often making on-the-spot job offers. You’ll be part of a broader Talent Acquisition team that supplies talent to support the airline’s goals. What You'll Do Ensure staffing for operational readiness Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs Travel to domestic locations for hiring events, sometimes on weekends Conduct intake sessions, clarify staffing needs, and ensure accurate job descriptions Proactively source talent via job boards, social media, and networking Guide hiring managers on behavioral interviewing and facilitate selection discussions Maintain a positive applicant experience throughout recruitment Manage the hiring process to meet timelines and agreements Respond to talent acquisition inquiries from stakeholders Provide updates on applicant activity, track metrics, and report trends Maintain applicant records in the ATS Collaborate with business, hiring managers, and vendors Conduct business calls with leaders on high-volume hiring strategies Travel up to 50% will be required All you'll need for success Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience At least 2 years of recent recruiting experience Preferred Qualifications High-volume recruiting, especially in unionized environments Experience with competency-based interviews Reporting skills related to TA performance Experience with ATS systems like SuccessFactors, Taleo, iCIMS Experience with RPO partnerships Organizing and conducting hiring events Airline industry experience Skills, Licenses & Certifications Strong relationship management and influencing skills Excellent communication skills Knowledge of employment law and recruitment practices Leadership qualities Strategic thinking and sound judgment Workforce planning knowledge is a plus What You'll Get Travel perks to 365 destinations Comprehensive health benefits from day one Wellness programs and resources 401(k) plan with employer contributions after one year Additional benefits including EAP, pet insurance, discounts Be yourself at American We value inclusion and diversity, with Employee Business Resource Groups supporting our team members.
