Short Description
Provide individual psychotherapy to patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on the
Parkinson’s disease population, addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial needs.
Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to
support patients and their families.
Facilitate group therapy sessions tailored to support neurological condition-specific patient
populations, fostering community and emotional resilience.
Develop and implement community outreach programs to raise awareness, educate the public, and
build support for neurological conditions, particularly Parkinson’s disease.
Collaborate with patient advocacy councils to align services with patient needs and enhance
community support networks.
Prepare and submit grant applications to secure funding from the Parkinsons Council in order to
supplement funding
Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive
care and effective communication.
Experience Required Minimum 2-3 years counseling or psychotherapy experience preferred Experience in behavioral health as a clinical provider (biopsychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy). Experience in a group treatment modality a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Education Requirements Master’s degree in Social Work
License/Certification Requirements NJ Social Work License (LSW) required Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
