Schedule: Full-Time Shift: Days Location: 3100 East Fletcher Avenue Tampa, Florida 33613 The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year. It is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research, caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years. The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute at AdventHealth Tampa leads in clinical and academic research in neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery, and more. The role youll contribute: The CVOR First Assistant provides a highly technical and knowledge-based skill set to assist the surgeon in carrying out safe operations with optimal results. The CVOR First Assistant can work independently or with surgeons to finalize surgeries according to the care plan. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the surgical area, scrubbing in, delivering intraoperative technical functions, assisting with patient care tasks, training others, and functioning as a resource. The role also involves performing endoscopic or open intraoperative harvesting of the saphenous vein, and performing endovascular and open revascularization procedures. The value youll bring to the team: Confirm procedures planned. Determine equipment needed. Review case load and studies. Review preference cards and participate in Universal Protocol steps. Select and place diagnostic tests. Assist in patient positioning and preparation. Perform operative shave prep, scrubbing, or other patient care tasks as assigned. Qualifications The expertise and experiences youll need: High School education or equivalent. American Heart Association BLS certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
