Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Pediatric Clinic

A community health center in Los Angeles is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their growing Pediatrics team.About the Opportunity: Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire) Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 8a - 5p EMR: ECW Patient Population: Pediatrics Responsibilities: Administer immunizations and medications Assist the Doctors with examinations and other procedures relating to direct patient care Dress wounds, catheterization and irrigation Administer EKG's and IV therapy Maintain complete and accurate patient records, enter data into the electronic health record (EHR) Instruct patients about procedures, preparation for tests or examinations, and self-care upon discharge Assist with patient flow including receiving/greeting patients; locating charts/electronic health records; ensuring all laboratory and other test results are in the chart and/or EHR; answering the telephone; and referring patients to appropriate person Qualifications: A valid Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California Working knowledge of direct patient care methods and practices in a Community clinic setting Desired Skills: 2+ years of Pediatric patient care experience.
