Engineering Manager

for a growing Design and Manufacturing company in the Bluffton, IN area. The Engineering Manager will be the central hands on force behind mechanical design strategy, product development, and technical leadership. They will develop and mentor the engineering department and play a pivotal role scaling the business through smarter, more efficient practices. From early stage concepting to final assembly, through a hands on approach, overseeing the full lifecycle, ensuring design standards, manufacturing processes, and assembly systems are aligned to drive results.

Highlights:

Day shift: M-F 7am - 4 pm

Pay: $90-$110K DOE

Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD system

Qualifications:

Degree: BS in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, or manufacturing engineering.

7+ years of experience of progressive engineering experience, including direct leadership.

Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design, product development, and DFMA (Design For Manufacturability & Assembly)

CNC programming experience

CAD/CAM experience

ERP experience

FEA experience and implementation

Strong project management experience, process management, and team development skills

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the mechanical design function, championing innovation in form, function, and manufacturability.

Develop and execute engineering strategies that accelerate business growth through optimized design, efficient manufacturing processes, and scalable assembly solutions

Mentor, Develop, and Manage a cross functional team of engineers to deliver high quality, technically and mechanically sound products on time within budget

Oversee and communicate project timelines to management and production.

Evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and methodologies that support smarter engineering workflows.

Acts as a key partner to executive leadership, providing technical insight that shapes business and product decisions.

Responsible for manufacturing process improvements and creation of BOM’s and routings
