PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provides clerical services, instructional support and assists with the daily operation of the campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certification Requirements High school graduate or GED equivalent Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check Special Knowledge and Skills

Proficiency in typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions Basic math skills Ability to work well and in a positive manner with students, employees and the public Knowledge of general office equipment Pleasant voice on telephone, personable attitude and appearance to public Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation, and defuse confrontational situations Demonstrates a mature, responsible attitude necessary for the position Ability to operate a multi-line phone system Ability to meet established deadlines Knowledge of basic accounting principals Experience:

Minimum one (1) year clerical, secretarial, and/or data entry experience in an office setting MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Maintain confidentiality at all times Utilizes district programs to verify, tabulate, and record student information. Assist the campus administration, teachers, and/or staff in the preparation and management of instructional, clerical and program support Receives telephone communications and telephone referrals, routes to the appropriate staff, and maintains an accurate log of each. Assist campus administration with use and/or maintenance of office equipment Perform noon duty during lunch and after school Assist with switchboard as needed Relieve other auxiliary staff when necessary Answer the telephone in a pleasant manner Dispense supplies to the staff, distribute mail, faxes, and items from parent to students Substitute for classrooms that are lacking a teacher until relief arrives Assist with the printing and distribution of reports, interim progress reports, report cards including but not limited to: Add/Drop, Attendance Check Sheets, Class Rosters, Special programs, UIL Eligibility, etc. Assist with registration and textbook distribution Acts as chaperone, as necessary, for college and career field trips Assist with the Coordinate TSI/SAT/ACT registration, NCAA eligibility registration Assist the campus in providing transportation, parking permit information to students, staff and/or parents Supervise students as requested by campus administration Maintain an orderly office area Attend required in-service training sessions as well as individual training as determined by the principal Perform other duties as assigned, based on department needs Must complete designated district technology proficiencies each year Requires a basic knowledge of technology/computer skills Ability to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resources Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance. Ensure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of Ethics Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervision and evaluation of District personnel is not a requirement of the position; however, the supervision of students is required.

Office equipment - personal computer, printer, calculator, multi-line telephone, software programs and peripherals, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position. Communication equipment - radio communication equipment, cellular telephone Mental Demands:
