We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Armys Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next-generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth. Simulation Software Bring your experience and ideas to create Aircrew Flight Simulators developed for military and commercial simulation programs. While being an integral part of the Core Engineering organization, work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPT), customers, and subcontractors. Hone your technical abilities throughout the full software lifecycle spectrum, while gaining experience in leadership and communication. What youll be doing as a Simulation Software Engineer Participate in the organization, planning, development, and management of aircraft training environments to meet program and customer-defined requirements. Develop and integrate software and real-time math models to produce simulated avionics, physics-based aircraft models, communications, weapons, sensors, distributed simulation interactivity, etc. Create data interfaces for avionics, Ethernet, serial, and other protocols. Analyze complex systems integration issues. Perform Configuration Management for developed software. Interface with pilots, customers, and subcontractors throughout product development and acceptance, including design & milestone presentations. Support the software development life cycle from requirements definition, coding, integration, deployment, and acceptance. Skills You Bring To this Role Minimum of 15 years of experience developing training simulation environments. Proficiency with C/C++, FORTRAN, and Ada programming. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, PHP, etc.). Knowledge of protocols UDP, TCP, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429. Proficiency with Linux/Unix (RHEL) development environment. Familiarity with software configuration management tools (Git preferred) and CI/CD tools (GitLab-CI, Azure DevOps, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize activities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain relationships and clearly brief leaders and customers. Ability to obtain a secret clearance. Ability to travel. What you need to be successful Inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Advanced degrees are a plus. Systems Engineering background is a bonus.
