Position Overview: The Program Manager will primarily be responsible for coordinating, supporting and administering Liberty Hills Environmental Justice programs, including EJ Ready, Environmental Leadership Initiative (ELI), STAND LA, and other program commitments as needed. In this role you will support policy research, curriculum development, foundation prospecting and grant writing/grant reporting, grant administration, and budget tracking. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders will be important for success in this role. What you will do: Program Management Oversee successful program implementation using project management techniques to ensure progress is within budget, scope, and timeline. Develop and maintain all project documentation, including Asana project plans, for the effective operation of the programs. Assist in the development and management of project budgets. Lead coordination between Liberty Hill and program consultants, serving as the main point of contact. Coordinate, organize and facilitate meetings within LHF with community partners. Manage the logistics related to sponsorship of the virtual Community Assemblies, including calendaring, compiling stakeholder lists for outreach, agenda development, speaker recruitment, translation, tech support, registration, and meeting facilitation. Manage community participation stipends/grants including development of criteria for MOUs with CBOs, application processes, payment plans and reporting requirements, including coordination with Liberty Hills grants department. Co-manage the development of training curriculum and propose effective learning modules for the Assemblies on climate themes. Meet with community partners, grantees, public sector agencies, existing and prospective funders, consultants, and policymakers. Actively participate in Impact Department meetings and team initiatives including grantmaking, capacity building, outreach, and landscape analyses. Coordination and Support Assists in the development of foundation reports and proposals. Assists in processing financial reimbursements, invoices, and reports. Informs and coordinates with Liberty Hill staff about program activities. Research and catalogue studies and policies related to Climate Equity Roadmaps. Inform communications and advancement teams of current activities and collaborates on related messaging and framework. Study renewable energy, climate resilience hubs and network, and just transition, including popular education techniques for diverse audiences. Stay abreast of the changing landscape, inform Liberty Hill Impact staff, and gather information needed for ongoing fundraising activities. Assists in developing effective grassroots, public education and organizing activities with the CBOs. Builds relationships with key ally organizations to help build movement capacity, including securing endorsements; scheduling delegations; preparing materials, and oral/written public comment. Track local, state, and federal policy developments. Requirements What you will have: Education: BS/BA Degree preferred or equivalent, with a preference for combination of lived/professional experience. 3+ years experience in managing multiple projects preferably in nonprofit. 2+ years administrative support. 2+ years working effectively with diverse and broad-based community constituencies. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment that requires continual updating and engagement of multiple internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to write/speak in Spanish (Preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to navigate and learn various software; specifically, Slack, Asana, SharePoint. Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to social and racial justice, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Physical asks: Ability to engage in a hybrid remote work environment in our shared downtown co-working space or working remotely.
