The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Program Manager to manage long-term programs aimed at implementing target state operating models and other strategic changes across our finance, investments, and risk organizations. This program will optimize and transform the people, processes, and technology related to these capabilities. It is a multi-year effort with significant investment of resources, aiming to significantly transform the company's financial processes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive program management expertise and experience managing large-scale, impactful programs. You will work with stakeholders across the enterprise, especially within Investment Management, Finance, Risk, and Technology. Proven success in managing enterprise-wide, complex projects with substantial budgets and coordinating cross-functional teams is essential. This role is critical for ensuring seamless program execution, aligning business processes, and achieving the program's return on investment. It is a multi-year initiative that could lead to material changes in business operations.
The Team
This role reports to the Head of the CFPMO, which oversees project execution across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Investment Management, Law, and HR & Employee Experience. The team aims to increase visibility into this work, improve prioritization, collaboration, and execution.
The role involves leveraging and promoting project management standards, partnering with CFPMO teammates, especially Portfolio Managers, and collaborating closely with program sponsors and the executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and prioritization: Define, own, and facilitate project prioritization across IM, CFO, and ERM, considering capacity and benefits.
Lead work with stakeholders to establish timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Understand stakeholder needs, manage concerns, and ensure effective communication.
Establish collaboration frameworks, drive discussions, and promote consistency in program delivery.
Act as a strategic advisor to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
Process Integration: Evaluate existing project management processes and build the program, including managing third-party resources.
Ensure alignment of program execution with business strategies and policies.
Analyze tradeoffs in roadmap and prioritization decisions.
Change Management: Build relationships, identify focus areas, anticipate impacts, and develop support strategies.
Develop and deliver change management plans, including communication and training.
Program Governance: Define success metrics, monitor progress, provide status updates, and manage risks and dependencies.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a diverse program management team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Model an agile mindset, inspire others, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of project management experience
Proven success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and scope
Strong understanding of project management methodologies
Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and dashboarding tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI
The Ideal Qualifications
10+ years of program and project management experience
7+ years of experience leading teams
5+ years of experience in Investment Management, Corporate Finance, or Enterprise Risk
Deep knowledge of relevant domains, processes, and systems
Financial services experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Expertise in communication, reporting, prioritization, resource planning, forecasting, and performance measurement
