Job Summary And Qualifications Position Summary The Product & Technology Organization at HealthTrust defines and implements solutions that empower our customers, suppliers, and business partners to realize savings and drive improved clinical outcomes. Discover business problems, hypothesize solutions, and use data to quickly test, learn, and implement solutions that deliver value. Minimize in-progress work by focusing on the most important thing. Major Responsibilities: Develop data-centric applications for enriching our data. Pragmatically manage our data and apply its strength towards solving our customers' problems. Lead discussions specific to database architecture, design, development practices, and maintenance. Evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze, and provide options to resolve data pipeline performance and related problems. Performs other duties as assigned. Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement." Education & Experience: Development skills with Python, SQL Experience with ETL processes using libraries such as pandas and PySpark Expertise in data modeling and design Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Strong development experience with Microsoft SQL or Postgres, including advanced features Solid expertise in developing modern, scalable applications Strong initiative, self-motivated, and able to drive results with minimal guidance Ability to work within team scope to drive development direction and team objectives Comfortable with uncertainty, ambiguity, and change A professional, relaxed, and enthusiastic attitude Pragmatic focus on delivering business value, with a relentless focus on creating and measuring outcomes Demonstrated ability to value team over individual success by focusing on collaboration and progress instead of dogma Continuously seeks opportunities to learn and improve self and team Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Experience with HL7 or other healthcare integration a plus Supply chain or healthcare industry experience a plus Relevant Years Experience: 5 Licenses & Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors: Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings or nights, in the case of emergencies or natural disasters Ability to coordinate afterhours work with both internal staff and outside vendors, while working in an active hospital Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, with an attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination Ability to maintain focus while working individually Ability to reference facility blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary and divulge meaningful information to appropriate technicians, contractors etc. Proficient in major Microsoft office suite applications as well as CMMS software HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
