Senior R&D Scientist

Job Summary & Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and implement algorithms and software features for semiconductor device metrology Code with consideration for program resilience and maintainability Solve problems exposed during testing or which arise in connection with new use cases Cooperate and share information with other algorithms, applications, and software developers Participate in code reviews Qualifications Required Education and Experience: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline Ability to code in C++ Aptitude for mathematical modeling Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment Preferred Education and Experience: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline At least 10 years of experience coding professionally in C++ Experience with Matlab, C#, or Python Experience with metrology Experience with machine learning Onto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
