In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling campaign concepts and producing high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent marketing copy across various platforms that strengthens customer relationships, drives product and program adoption, and promotes and enhances the CenterPoint Energy brand. The selected candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing strategies and the ability to translate complex information into clear and persuasive messages for diverse audiences. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop creative campaign concepts aligned with marketing objectives and target audience insights. Write, edit, and proofread engaging and brand-accurate copy for a wide range of marketing materials, including digital ads, website content, email campaigns, press releases, brochures, and video scripts. Ensure all copy is optimized for clarity, impact, and calls to action. Collaborate with graphic designers, web developers, and other marketing professionals to ensure cohesive campaign execution. Conduct competitive research and stays informed about industry trends to inform content strategy. Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project specifications. Participate in content strategy discussions and contribute creative ideas. Uphold CenterPoint Energy’s core values of Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Initiative and Respect at all times and in all work. Support the Public Information Office by crafting crucial customer and public messaging or fulfilling other duties as assigned during emergency activations, which may occur after typical business hours, weekends, or holidays REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or content creation, preferably within a corporate or agency setting. Proven ability to develop creative campaign concepts and translate them into effective copy. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization. Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and channels. Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of successful marketing copy and campaign concepts.
