We are looking to add a
Senior Vice President, Institutional Investments
to our Syndications department in CREA's Indianapolis, IN, Boston, MA, or other office location, depending on the candidate.
Physical Presence In-Office | Tue – Thu; Flexible | Mon & Fri
Open to Boston, MA, or Indianapolis, IN, preferred
Reports to Managing Director or EVP, Syndications
Position Summary The Vice President of Institutional Investments will report to the Managing Director or EVP of Syndications. This role involves working directly with investors in the affordable housing industry. Key responsibilities include:
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain targeted client relationships list;
Identify, qualify, catalog, and solicit Insurers, and Regional and Community Banks generally over $5B in net assets;
Utilize a CRM to log investor interactions and track contact details;
Create and implement outreach strategies for dormant investors with current fund or investment opportunities;
Act as the Syndications contact for potential investors identified by the Originations team;
Prepare sales materials and coordinate sales meetings;
Manage Broker relationships and conduct bi-weekly calls;
Work with team members to transition new investors to ongoing coverage;
Assist other team members as needed; and
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field is required. A minimum of five years of experience in LIHTC is necessary. Experience in sales, investor relations, real estate finance, and financial analysis is preferred. Familiarity with CRM platforms is also advantageous.
Core Competencies The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team. The role requires 25% to 50% travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate:
