About the role:

A dynamic and visionary individual is sought to join our organization to lead the Brand Capabilities Team. Brand Capabilities is part of Commercial Learning & Development (CL&D) Team and is part Commercial Operations and Business Solutions (COBS) function within the U.S. Business Unit. As a key player in the Commercial Learning & Development leadership team, the

Director of Brand Capabilities

will play a crucial role in driving and navigating transformative initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, agility and growth. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, combined with strategic thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset, will be paramount to success in this role. A dynamic leadership approach will be required to inspire and influence both Brand Teams and the broader organization. Passion for innovation, coupled with deep Marketing experience, will be instrumental in shaping our future and ensuring our continued success in a rapidly evolving marketplace. As the Director of Brand Capabilities, you will work closely with various levels of brand and launch leadership from Directors through Franchise Heads, as well as partner closely with cross-functional partners such as Analytics & Insights, Managed Markets, Patient & Market Access, Medical, etc. The mission of Brand Capabilities is to serve as astrategic partnerandbusiness enablerthat leveragesexpertiseto providecapabilities development and business solutions todeliveracompetitive advantageandunlock the greatestpotential of our brands in support of our patients. This team plays an important role within the organization by partnering with brands and cross-functional colleagues to identify, develop and measure foundational and innovative capabilities that drive commercial excellence. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced strategic marketer who has a passion for enabling commercial excellence, driving transformative initiatives, and partnering across the enterprise to drive better outcomes for patients. How you will contribute:

Lead the Brand Capabilities Team. Coach, inspire and motivate the team to drive brand excellence and deliver impactful solutions

Partner and advise brand and launch teams and their cross functional partners on marketing capabilities such as Product Positioning, Insights Generation, Brand Planning, Customer Engagement and Measurement

Empower the team to create brand-focused assessment, identify capability and learning needs with brand partners

Facilitate connections and sharing of best practices across the USBU

Work with launch leadership to develop the needed brand capabilities and business outputs for launch

Parlay marketing subject matter expertise into the learning environment by identifying new learning modalities, creating curriculum and upskilling marketers

Create and own the long-term brand capabilities roadmap by identifying future competency and capability development opportunities with brand partners

Take a future-focused approach to brand capabilities development by integrating digital, data and technology into meaningful solutions

Influence and foster change management elements through initiatives such as community of practice, communications, best practice sharing etc.

Management of resource requirements, project plans and budget

Embed strong measurement into all team initiatives to assess impact and improve future initiatives

Implement development plans and training to achieve business objectives

Embed an agile mindset and spirit of innovation in the team and the way they work

Serve as part of the Commercial Learning & Development (CL&D) Leadership Team helping to shape and influence this function. Lead business critical initiatives

Actively participate on the Commercial Operations & Business Solutions (COBS) extended leadership team and act as a leader for the broader COBS function

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required: Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred

Minimum of 10 years of marketing & brand experience through a variety of marketing roles

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical industry

Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders

Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables

Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace

Strong analytical skills and budget management experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority

Ability to facilitate large groups and audiences, synthesize information in real-time, drive alignment and create strategic outputs

Demonstrates advanced strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills

Able to partner with colleagues to challenge thinking, influence and elevate strategic business outputs

Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for multiple projects

Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small to medium, multi-disciplinary dispersed teams

People-focused leader and able to inspire others

Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

Preferred: Experience across stages of a brand’s life cycle (launch, growth, and end of life cycle)

Experience with leading brand planning

Experience in strategy and / or portfolio management roles

Previous organizational change management experience

U.S. Base Salary Range: $174,500.00 - $274,230.00
