Distribution Clerk
Our client in Marinette, WI is seeking a distribution clerk to join their team. As a part-time distribution clerk, you will be part of the distribution team. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy with order picking/packing. What's the Job? Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by adhering to industry best practices. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover of product, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of distribution space. Aid in the compliance of federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. Keep accurate records on the use or damage of stock and stock-handling equipment. Report all damage to management and dispose of product appropriately or return to manufacturer. Partner with Distribution Supervisor in monitoring inventory management system. Work to ensure product is in-stock to minimize customer back orders. Resolve issues related to inventory return, replacement, and open to buy limits. Fulfill customer orders by picking and packing stock items and shipping appropriately. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock. Investigate discrepancies and report to management. Preserve physical condition of the Distribution Center, including the implementation of health and safety precautions. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas. What's Needed? High school diploma required. Knowledge of general warehouse policies and procedures preferred. Must possess basic computer skills. Ability to work in a high-intensity, highly fluid, and fast-paced environment. What's in it for me?
