Job Purpose The Vice President of Marketing is a strategic and operational leader responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive marketing vision that drives growth across all business lines—equipment sales, rentals, aftermarket service, and parts—with a focus on industry-specific growth in the construction, mining, and energy markets. Serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the company’s brand, demand generation, customer engagement, and digital strategy – looking to fuel revenue growth, enhance the customer experience, and strengthen the company’s leadership position.
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
Develop and execute a marketing strategy that drives growth, aligns with revenue goals, and guides company positioning and messaging.
Rental and Aftermarket Marketing:
Design campaigns to increase fleet utilization, promote maintenance, and develop loyalty strategies.
Vertical Market Strategy:
Create segment-specific messaging for construction, mining, and power markets, and track performance.
Caterpillar, Inc. Collaboration:
Ensure brand alignment, co-create marketing programs, and participate in advisory groups.
Digital Marketing & Demand Generation:
Lead digital transformation, develop campaigns, and measure performance with KPIs.
Field Marketing & Regional Execution:
Build regional marketing playbooks, support events, and utilize VOC and NPS insights.
Brand & Communications:
Manage all communications, oversee content creation, and ensure brand consistency.
Team Leadership & Budget Management:
Lead marketing teams, define goals, manage budgets, and oversee vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related; MBA preferred.
10+ years in marketing leadership within heavy equipment, energy, or industrial sectors.
Proven success in demand generation, digital marketing, and team leadership.
Experience with OEM partnerships, CRM, and marketing automation platforms.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and industry knowledge.
