We are looking for a
Director of Health Information Technology to support our facilities . This
is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, optimization, and support of clinical software systems across the organization. This individual ensures seamless integration of clinical technologies with operational workflows, upholds data integrity, and drives innovation to enhance patient care, compliance, and staff efficiency. The Director will lead a team responsible for technical support, training, system utilization, and compliance, while collaborating cross-functionally to advance digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight & Leadership Develop and execute clinical IT strategies aligned with organizational goals. Lead initiatives to optimize the use of clinical and e-learning systems across all facilities. Supervise the Clinical IT team, providing direction, mentoring, and performance management. Systems & Data Management Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of all clinical data systems. Oversee the onboarding and management of users, including clinicians and medical professionals. Direct legacy system data extraction, conversions, and integration with current platforms. Monitor data utilization, audit compliance, and generate regular reports for leadership. Training & Support Oversee the development and delivery of training programs, including onsite and virtual formats. Lead efforts to create and update Quick Guides, training tools, and user resources. Establish protocols for end-user support and maintain high responsiveness to technical inquiries. Implementation & Acquisition Support Lead IT support during acquisitions, including system setup, staff training, and transition planning. Ensure clean and accurate data transfer and system configuration during new facility onboarding. Compliance & Best Practices Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Monitor system access and user roles for compliance and security. Establish and refine SOPs to maintain high standards of operational excellence. Collaboration & Innovation Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, IT, and administration to align technology with clinical workflows. Stay abreast of technological trends and make recommendations to improve digital infrastructure and care delivery. Qualifications: Must be willing to travel Minimum Associates degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Nursing, or related field (Bachelors preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical IT, with at least 2 in a leadership or management role. Deep understanding of clinical workflows, PointClickCare, EHR/EMR systems, and healthcare compliance (HIPAA, HITECH). Proven experience with system implementation, training development, and technical support. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements. Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills. Willingness to travel to facilities as needed.
