Overview
The Chargemaster Analyst is responsible for maintaining the consistency and accuracy of the Chargemaster, including descriptions, coding, pricing, and updates. Responsibilities
Perform tasks to improve Patient Financial Services functions. Maintain the Chargemaster across a multi-facility healthcare system, including hospitals, clinics, and home health services. Monitor and analyze regulatory changes impacting healthcare finances. Research and resolve billing, reimbursement, and compliance issues. Analyze new service lines for billing and coding. Participate in design, testing, and upgrade teams for billing systems. Oversee HCPCS code assignment in Supply and Pharmacy departments. Ensure billing and collection practices comply with legal and corporate standards. Develop financial reports as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a healthcare-related field with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare receivables, or 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and HBOC STAR system. Thorough knowledge of UB92 revenue codes, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes. Strong organizational and time management skills.
