JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department by providing day-to-day administrative assistance across core HR functions. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, and other office/administrative tasks. The role also provides general HR support and serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries, fostering a positive employee experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities will include the following, but not limited to:

Provide administrative support across various HR functions, including onboarding, maintaining files and compliance with I-9's. Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and personnel files in accordance with compliance and confidentiality standards. Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and completion of all required documentation. Prepare HR-related reports, metrics, presentations, and correspondence as needed. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, training programs, and performance review processes. Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex HR questions to appropriate team members. Ensure compliance with internal policies, employment laws, and company procedures. Provide administrative support for HR-related audits and documentation requests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and benefits programs. Perform general office support related to HR functions, including document management and scheduling. May serve as a point of contact for coordinating workplace safety and wellness initiatives in collaboration with the HR and Safety teams. Any other reasonable duties allocated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience working with Workday HRIS. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Service-oriented mindset and proactive problem-solving abilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR administrative, HR assistant, or similar support role. Workday experience preferred.

ENVIRONMENT:

75% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. 25% travel will be required in support of the position's responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
