Our client, a well-established and fast-growing manufacturer, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented

Manufacturing Engineer

to join their team in

Grand Rapids, MI . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world production challenges, driving continuous improvement, and implementing hands-on solutions in a dynamic shop-floor environment.

Responsibilities Lead new product introductions with an emphasis on tooling, trials, and process validation. Design and implement efficient manufacturing systems, including tooling, layouts, and process workflows. Act as a resource for floor-level support for process troubleshooting, quality concerns, and improvement initiatives. Train production personnel on standard operating procedures, safety, and quality practices. Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance programs. Conduct feasibility studies and prepare key process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, work instructions). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and technical specifications. Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related discipline). 2+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role. 2+years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment Solid knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC Titles Encouraged to Apply
