We are seeking a seasoned
Senior Database Administrator
with deep expertise in managing enterprise-grade databases within the
Provider Healthcare domain . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical healthcare data systems, supporting clinical and operational applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain
SQL Server and Oracle databases
across development, test, and production environments. Implement and manage
backup and recovery strategies
to ensure data integrity and availability. Provide
Level 2 (L2) support
for database-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to healthcare operations. Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize system efficiency. Collaborate with application teams to support database design, deployment, and integration. Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and internal security policies. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Required Skills & Experience:
Expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases , including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Strong experience in backup and recovery , including RMAN, Data Pump, and native SQL Server tools. Proven L2 support experience , with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues. Familiarity with healthcare data standards and workflows (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EHR systems). Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On, Data Guard). Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of experience in database administration, with at least 2 years in the healthcare domain. Certifications such as Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server DBA, or healthcare IT certifications are a plus.
