Job Title: Platform Integration Architect

Job Location: Scott AFB, IL

The Department of the Air Force (DAF) IT Governance Office (SAF/CNSG) is currently facing challenges in effectively governing and managing its IT resources, resulting in inefficient use of resources, inadequate risk management, and insufficient compliance with regulatory requirements. This initiative will establish a data-driven IT governance framework, aligned with industry standards (COBIT, ISO 38500), leveraging advanced data analytics and engineering. It will also streamline category management practices and implement a robust IT asset management program, ultimately optimizing IT spend, enhancing service quality, and ensuring compliance. This transformation will empower the DAF with data-driven insights and improved resource utilization to better support mission objective.

Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance 7+ years of experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience with IT system integration, including design, development, and implementation Expert proficiency in lifecycle management and governance best practices Expert proficiency in technology transformation and modernization Proficient in PaaS and SaaS architecture Training in CRM or ERP PaaS or SaaS (Salesforce, Snow), Cloud computing, and/or Cybersecurity Deep expertise in integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture frameworks Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO 38500, ITIL) Experience in agile project and program management Familiarity with GAO Portfolio and Program Cost and Assessment Best Practices Key Responsibilities: The Platform Integration Architect (PIA) will conduct a thorough analysis of the current IT landscape, including platforms, architectures, configurations, and data sources. The PIA will identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement as well as develop a consolidation plan aligned with category management optimization goals.

The PIA will define standard configurations, customizations, and governance policies for the platform as well as establish a data integration strategy, incorporating data governance and quality measures.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translating them into technical solutions.

Experience working with federal or Department of Defense IT systems Experience in technology platform consolidation Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience implementing secure integration solutions
