Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA. This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship Responsibilities include supporting the test and evaluations of our products including but not limited to: Support to the planning, execution, and reporting for integration and verification tests for hardware, software, and/or flight tests Perform work within the requirements database in DOORS to update and maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix Develop detailed integration information sheets and/or verification information sheets Support system or software regression testing, and associated data analysis Perform data analysis for radar hardware, software and/or simulations using tools such as MATLAB Troubleshooting issues and anomalies with hardware and/or software, to identify root cause and implement and verify fixes Business travel to support program objectives may be required. Local travel between Raytheon locations in MA and Southern NH may also be required Qualifications you must have: This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year by the start of summer 2026 Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues with software (C, C++) Exposure to data analysis using tools such as MATLAB Qualifications we prefer: Prior Engineering Internship working independently or in a team environment Understanding of radar signal and data processing MATLAB knowledge and experience Experience with DOORS or related database Experience with Linux operating system environment Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
